There’s a lot to think about in your process, here’s some of the important issues :

Timber : an aesthetic and personal choice. Each floor is completely unique depending on your decisions. There’s a huge range to choose from – new timber, recycled or reclaimed – follow the links to our preferred suppliers to check out the range.

mel.jpgWhy limit your floor to one timber ? You can have a mix of timbers, adding further individuality to your floor. The finishing touch is given by the timber itself – unique natural variation depending on species chosen.

Finishes : Polishing, stains, oils, eco-friendly finishes, water-based finishes, polyurethane, lacquering.

New construction : if you are building from new, get in touch early on to liaise with builders, ensuring trouble-free installation.

Patterns : Long run, cross hatched, geometric, diagonal, the choices are virtually limitless giving you a vast range of expression.

Preparation : on-site storage and correct installation are of utmost importance to ensure the long life of your floor.

bill2.jpgProfiling : Weather conditions and moisture content cause timber to contract and expand. This is entirely normal and issues like underfloor ventilation and relative humidity need to be taken into account from the outset. We ‘profile’ the situation and offer the best solution – expert advice is what we’re here for.

Sound transferrance : On multi-level buildings, there may be a need to specify a floor which dampens sound.

Costing : Each floor is unique and requires consultation to prepare a quote. It is based on a per square metre rate, with variation depending on other options chosen.
